The Relationship of Schools
1) Indicate the specific question or problem under investigation. 2) Discuss the significance of the problem—why is it important to you? How does it contribute to understanding the relationship between the school and the community? Indicate your basic knowledge of related literature. 3) Describe and analyze the various points of view about the issue held by different groups within the school and the community. Be certain to consider the major groups to whom the problem is relevant. 4) Analyze and interpret the results of your study to answer your initial question. 5) Summarize your findings and discuss their possible consequences and implications. What significance does your specific problem have for larger and more basic issues of school/community relationships in this society? 6) Be sure it is pertinent to the course and integrate the ideas discussed in course readings and lectures through your analysis and critique.
