Shelby is the new HR manager for a law firm Dewey, Cheatem & Howe with 50 legal secretaries. Currently, the firm requires at least three years of experience as a legal secretary/administrative assistant. Shelby doesnt believe years of experience is a good predictor of job job performance and decided to develop a legal-terms test for selecting knowledgeable legal secretaries (administrative assistants). He asked a random sample of 15 of the 50 secretaries to review the documents they typically produce during the month and submit a list of the top 100 most common legal terms. Shelby found that 70 words were mentioned on all 15 lists. He developed a multiple-choice test using 50 words from the 70-word list. DO YOU BELEVE THE VOCABULARY TEST SHOULD REPLACE THE EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT? WHICH VALIDATION STRATEGY SHOULD SHELBY USE TO VALIDATE THE VOCABULARY TEST?
