However, you must only write about and reflect on recurring themes that made you feel uncomfortable and you need to improve upon for the written part of the assignment.Complete your journal often, e.g. at the end of a shift or a non-working day. Keep a daily reflective journal even if you are not currently working.Create a link with permission given to faculty to access your Mahara journal. The journal content will not be marked however part B of the assessment must relate to the journal content.Part 2 of Assignment: Critical Reflection & Journaling1000 wordsUse the following questions to critically reflect on your journal entries. You are required to use headings to introduce each question in your written reflection:What recurring themes came up for you in your journal that made you feel uncomfortable and/or blocked your progress in some way? Identify at least two (2) recurring themes. Why do you think they occurred? Focus on your response to what was happening at the time they occurred. Complete an honest reflection that demonstrates emotional intelligence and ownership of your own thoughts, feelings and actions as well as your responses to other people’s behaviour, rather than blame others for your reaction and discomfort. What did you learn that was important for you as a person and/or professional during the journaling process? Focus on how you responded and reacted to others, stressful situations and/or particular events. Identify your own learning (not what others should have done). Demonstrate that you can take responsibility for your own thoughts, feeling and actions and change your perspective, and through the process influence change in yourself andothers to improve outcomes. How might you use your reflection and learning to improve your practice now or in the future if you are not currently practicing? This is about identifying the skills and knowledge you need to enable you to think, feel and behave differently next time. What might you share with colleagues (now or in the future) to enable/influence them to improve their practice? This is about sharing your new knowledge and skills related to the journaling/refection process with colleagues. Also promote reflection as a process for improved practice and encourage others to practice reflection and become reflective practitionersHow would you support a colleague to undertake reflection? Identify and discuss a few simple practical strategies to demonstrate support for a colleague who is also experiencing recurring issues and may wish to improve their practice using reflection.Anytime you make a statement about the benefits of journaling and/or reflection and discuss why they or otherprocesses/behaviours/practices are important you must support your discussion with evidence from the literature.Part 3 of Assignment: Professional Values & Challenges!  (1000 words)Choose one (1) of your values from assessment 1 that aligns with one (1) of the events in your reflective journal, where your value was in conflict with what you were expected to do. Choose only one value and discuss an event from your journal when that value was challenged. An introductory paragraph on the benefits of reflection supported by references would be appropriate. You are required to address all stages of your model using specific headings that are relevant to the different elements of the model.Provide a clear and concise description of the event either before or as part of your reflection depending on which model you use. Use your reflection model to reflect on the event, capture and understand the significance of what you learned from the reflection. This part is the ‘What?’ and ‘So what?’ part of your reflection, regardless of which model you use.The following points relate to the ‘Now what?’part of the reflection regardless of which model you use. As part of your reflection you must:Include what you would do differently should a similar event occur again. You must identify an alternate way of responding in the future.Identify the knowledge and skills you will require to enable you to think, feel and behave differently next time. You must identify what you will need to learn and do to enable you to respond/behave differently should a similar event occur again.Outline at least two (2) strategies you would use to achieve your professional development goals including who or what may assist you. You must suggest how you will achieve your learning/professional development goals identified above.Discuss the impact your achievements may have on you, your colleagues, clients and the wider community/society (imagine the possibilities).Demonstrate through your writing that you understand how empowering and impactful reflection can be. How by changing yourself, you can influence change in others.Use of creative formats that support your interpretation, analysis and discussion are highly encouraged. You can use video, song (provide a link in the word document) diagrams, tables and poetry if you wish. This must be supported by paragraphs in the submitted document that include evidence from the literature. See assessment 1 for more examples.Submit one Word document only: Combine both parts together in the same word document including any links to any multimedia used.
